PENGARUH MULTI-TASKING TERHADAP KUALITAS KERJA STAF FRONT OFFICE HOTEL

Abstract

Abstract: Influences of Multi-tasking on the Service Quality of Employees of Front office Department. This research aims to analize and explain how and why multitasking influences the work quality and to what extent is the influence on the staff work quality. Travello Hotel Manado.  The research applied qualitative-quaantitative method using simple linear regrestion analysis and Spearman Rank coefficient correlation.The primary data used are the questionnaire and interview data. The results of research prove that multitasking has influene on the staff work quality and that there is a strong relationship between multitasking and work quality. From the results of the simple linear regression calculation, we obstain Y= 0,20 – 0,79 and the coefficient correlation 13 r = 0,63 which means that according to the coefficient correlation interpretasion label, there is a strong relation between the two variables. The conclusion that can be drawn is that to improve the quality of the staff work, multitasking should be minimally applied by the management to reduce the double-work load by dividing the responsibilities of the receptionists who handle telephone operation and reservations and front desk liner or the receptionist who serves the guests directly as well as handles all the bills from all the existing outlets.
