Abstract

Abstract: Impacts of Tourism on Environment: A Case Study at Petitenget Kerobokan Village, Bali. Tourism Involves activities that result in multiplier effect of various aspects of life. The same thing happened in Petitenget Kerobokan, Bali. This research applies descriptive qualitative method intended to identify the impact of land use change in Petitenget Kerobokan Bali. This researc was done due to a very sinicant environmental cane tat occurred in etitenet The results of research show that tourism development has social, economic and environmental impacts and therefore affects the life style of the community in Petitenget Village both positively and negatively. Tourism activities have resulted in the change of land function from agricultural purposes to tourism purposes such as the use of land for hotel, Villa and restaurant buildings as well other tourism facilities. The social, economic and environmental changes in Petitenget Kerobokan Bali require the local government to emphasize the environmental and community based tourism development
