PENGARUH GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN TERHADAP KINERJA KARYAWAN DEPARTEMEN FOOD & BEVERAGE SERVICE
Abstract
Abstract : Influence of Leadership stle on the employee’s Performance of Food and Beverage service department. Leadership style is one of the factors that plays roles in increasing the employee’s performance because it is the leader’s strategy to manage his or her subordinators. The success of a leader and the organization in reaching the goals depends on the leadership style and characteristics, good will and condition of surrounding in the organization. This research aimed to analyze the influence of leadership style on the employee’s performance of Food and Beverage service department of Sutan Raja Hotel Manado. This was an analytic survey research type using Cross Sectional approach which was meant to analyze the influence of leadership style on the employee’s performance. Population of this research was all the employees working in the Food and Beverage service Department while the sample consisting of 12 people was taken using random sampling in accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data collecting technique was questionnaire. The data processing and analysis were adjusted to the aim of research. For testing the influence of leadership style on the employee’s performance was used a computer program. SPSS ZO and linear regression statistical testing with a 95% level of confidence and a P.Value < 0,05. The results of research show that the leadership style applied by the leader was 83,3% democratical type combined with the transformational, visionary and transactional style that was categorized as fair and 8,3% as good. Then the employee’s performance was categorized as 58,3% good and 41,7% fair. Further, the results of analysis with T-test show that the significance value of leadership style variable was 0.10. This value was greater than the probability (0.10<0.20) meaning that leadership style had significant influence on the employee’s performance. Ha is accepted and Ho is refused. Based on the results of analysis with simple linear regression statistical test, it was proved that there was a significant influence between the leadership style on the employee’s performance of food and beverage service of Sutan Raja Hotel Manado.Published
