https://jurnal.polimdo.ac.id/index.php/kcic/article/view/166
The collage is an artistic method to create a new image by combining multiple images under some rules or conditions. Purpose of the collage creation is to understand “Kansei†of human by combining process of the images as graphic materials to create and a combined image. The concept of “Kansei†includes several meanings on sensitive recognition, such as human senses, feelings, sensitivity and psychological reactions. The collage has been already used in various fields. In the real world, it is applied to the artistic expression and the psychoanalysis [1, 2]. The collage has been also utilized in the information retrieval research field [3]. Query-by-multiple-image is one of methods to retrieve images suited to a retriever's intentions [4]. In this method, the retriever combines images his/her own have and creates an image-query for searching image data by the image. The retrieval method can create the image-query easily in comparison with the drawing method. Our goal is to realize a mechanism to interpret “Kansei†by the combination process of the material images and a formed collage image on computers.  In this research, we propose a new system to analyze the collage work by using a database stored to collage information. We evaluated collage works which a user made by using this system. And also, we clarified how to combine image-materials to make the collage having specific impression.Anju KawamotoYasuhiro HayashiIzumi FuseYasushi Kiyoki

2016-12-312016-12-3112Development of the Dashboard System for Teachers to Perform Effective Indication of the Learning Data Analysis
https://jurnal.polimdo.ac.id/index.php/kcic/article/view/167
<p>Enormous learning history data have been brought by e-Learning teaching materials and Learning Management System (LMS). Through this technical method, teachers can obtain the learning situation of one or more students by the analysis of these data and also encourage them with instruction based on an education model [1]. There are various approaches to utilize the learning history data and processing related to LMS have been researched in many educational institutes for the effective learning of the students. For example, the recommendation of the teaching materials, the improvement of the contents and the instruction method, and the construction of new education technique using Information-Communication Technology (ICT) are representative approaches of the utilizations. In our group, we have developed a dashboard system on LMS. This system shows the analysis of the learning history data to the teacher effectively and reminds what to do to the teacher. A typical dashboard system in the daily life is the meters which is in front of the driver of a car. By the dashboard, the driver can control the car appropriately while recognizing the drive situation intuitively and instantly such as car speed, remaining amount of gas and gear position. We introduce same idea into LMS for the teachers. The purpose of this system is to promote the improvement for learning materials and education methods by the teachers who check the visualized learning history data. In order to make this system, we have discussed concept and architecture of the information visualization in the e-Learning field from various viewpoints such as technique, education methods and recognition. We describe progress of our works to develop the dashboard system for the teachers to promote effective indication of the learning data analysis.</p>Yasuhiro HayashiToshiyuki TakedaTomohiro NagashimaHidefumi YagiHideki MoriDaisuke KanekoKatsusuke Shigeta

2016-12-312016-12-3134Angle Synchronization of Two Motors on Parallel Link Joint Type Based on Disturbance Observer
https://jurnal.polimdo.ac.id/index.php/kcic/article/view/136
Parallel link joint type is a joint wich has one degree of freedom (DoF) with more than one actuator mounted. The use of more than one actuator will produce greater joint torque. However, if both the actuator move not synchronously, it wil cause the burdening effect to each other and cause damage to the actuators are used. To avoid the burdening effect, required a system to synchronize the movement of the actuators. PID control are used in each actuator to make harmonious movement between two actuators. Giving different load to each joint will cause the response of PID control becomes unequal so movement between two actuators are not same. In this research, disturbance observer is used at each actuator in order to make changes of dynamic model of each actuator because loading effect can be minimized. The result showed that the level of similarity between the two actuator response that calculate by using root mean square error (RMSE) when run without load and using the PID controller without disturbance observer is 0,45o. When using the disturbance observer is 0.44o. Whereas when one actuator is given a load and the other actuator freely, using a PID controller without disturbance observer is 3.94o and when using the disturbance observer is 3.04o.Bayu Sandi MartaFernando ArdillaDadet PramadihantoA. https://jurnal.polimdo.ac.id/index.php/kcic/article/view/139
In the world of education, lab activity conducted in the laboratory into one of academic activities aimed at students closer to the real world of work. It is recognized that building a laboratory infrastructure requires substantial resources and access of it was limited by place and time. Information technology can be used to build a virtual laboratory with flexible access. This poster presents the research for building a virtual laboratory using Web3D technology and Moodle. Web3D refers to technology used for creation of interactive 3D graphics and animations, especially for use on the internet. Web3D uses Virtual reality Modelling Language (VRML) – also known as Virtual Reality Mark-up Language to publish 3D objects with animations and interactivity over the web. The combination of multimedia and virtual reality that characterizes the WEB3D project will ultimately provide a user-friendly interface to encourage distance learning [4].Maksy SendiangAnritsu PoliiYoice Putung

https://jurnal.polimdo.ac.id/index.php/kcic/article/view/140
<p>One of the things that can affect the quality of work of air conditioning is the air filter that has been soiled, where air is sucked through the air filter has been hampered by a buildup of dust, so that the air circulation becomes impaired. This can increase the electrical energy consumption of air conditioning equipment for the compressor will work continuously for air conditioning is still functioning. For testing algorithm [3] detection system of air conditioning air filters, it takes the form of a software simulation program Proteus [4], where coding programs created using the software CodeVisionAVR [1][2].</p>Ali Akbar Steven RamschieMarike KondojVeny Vita PonggawaJohan F. 2016-12-312016-12-311314Level and Temperature Control
https://jurnal.polimdo.ac.id/index.php/kcic/article/view/141
There are some variables that are usually controlled in process industry. Two of them are level and temperature. Some variables are easy to model and control because they are linear and simple. But it is quite different in some of them because of non-linearity, complex model and also uncertainty. Level is linear but temperature is non-linear. The interaction of both variables is difficult to model mathematically. Many control approach theory can be applied to solve this problem. It depends on the type of components that is available in the work station. It is interesting to play with a real plant because we don't just play with the equations and model, but we have to apply it to the real plant process. In the Festo Process Control Work Station [1], there are some components and control moduls. But it is only for the components and moduls those are related to temperature and level control. As the software, LabView is already connected to the NI modul as the interface [2]. So it can be programmed directly to computer.Alfrets Septy WauranMarike KondojFanny Doringin

2016-12-312016-12-311516Weather Statistical Modelling for Analyzing the Hybrid Power System
https://jurnal.polimdo.ac.id/index.php/kcic/article/view/142
<p>Hybrid Power System is a combination of different power resources and storage. For example, the combination of Solar Panel, Wind Turbine, Diesel Generator and Battery. The power production of the renewable energy resources, Solar Panel and Wind Turbine, is depended on the Weather (Wind Speed and Solar Irradiation). So, it is important to make a very good model for Wind Speed and Solar Irradiation. The objective of this research is to make a statistical model of wind speed and solar irradiation using ARIMA Model and R Language Programming. We use R language in RStudio editor for making the model of wind speed and solar irradiation. R is a language and environment for statistical computing and graphics. It is a GNU project which is similar to the S language and environment which was developed at Bell Laboratories (formerly AT&T, now Lucent Technologies) by John Chambers and colleagues. R can be considered as a different implementation of S. There are some important differences, but much code written for S runs unaltered under R. R provides a wide variety of statistical (linear and nonlinear modelling, classical statistical tests, time-series analysis, classification, clustering, …) and graphical techniques, and is highly extensible. The S language is often the vehicle of choice for research in statistical methodology, and R provides an Open Source route to participation in that activity. RStudio is a visual editor for R. This software are integrated with R, but we can use the easy toolbox that already set for all function and facilities.</p>Alfrets Septy WauranAnritsu PoliiAnthoinete Waroh

https://jurnal.polimdo.ac.id/index.php/kcic/article/view/144
Developing English for a special purpose (ESP) for Engineering Department (Study of Computer, Electrical, and Informatics) with implementation in particular in the field of English language teaching technique is based on e-learning. The English language module development to prepare students of Engineering for entry into the industrialized world, we need a media that allows one to make the process of learning English with flexible hours. In other words, the learning process can be done anytime and anywhere. Therefore, to use the website as a medium of learning for a website Internet applications that can be accessed anywhere . Aspects of the attractiveness of this can be done by implementing e-learning English language learners is based on a needs analysis. By applying the concept of e-Learning, the learning process can be carried out effectively because the teacher can monitor all learners. In addition, the interactive process and delivery of content can be done through the media website. This website is created with the objective of helping the learning process in the effort of understanding the English language. Darin E. Hartley says: e-learning is a type of learning that allows teaching materials to students using the Internet, Intranet or other computer network media. Because the ESP study conducted in the Engineering department, students who incidentally is not a language class, then the tape facilities, TV, stereo, cassette and others are not available. According to Haryono “no facilitation results in lower portions of even the loss of language skills in the teaching and learning process ESPâ€. Hutchinson and Waters (1994) say : that ESP is an approach to teaching English in which things are taught and their teaching methods are based on the reasons why the learner wants to learn English.Maya MunaisecheChristo PuaAli Ramschie
