Abstract

Abstract : The influence of the use of information system Micros POSon the efficiency
of restaurant employee’s service. The rapid development of science and technology proves
that innovation and creativity has flourished from various quarters of society. One of the
developments is information technology. The purpose of this study is to examine the relation
and effect between the use of the Micros POS (Point of Sales)which is a supporting information
for the operational activities and the efficiency of restaurant employee’s service.This study
is designed by using a quantitative approach. The data were collected using a questionnaire
with Likert Scale Model that was distributed to a number of respondents and the data were
taken from some related books.The results show that the variation (increase / decrease) of
the efficiency of restaurant employee’s service isinfluenced by the use of information system
Micros POS (Point of Sales) around 74,10% and the remaining 25,9%

was due to the other
factors. And through the calculation of simple linear regression, H0 is rejected and H1
is received, which means that there is an effect of the ause of information system Micros
POS (Point of Sales) as a variable X on the efficiency of restaurant employee’s service as a
variable Y
