Abstract

Abstract :The Importance of EnglishMastery for the Waiter/Waitres. Language is an essential
communication tool in the era of globalization of business, economic, social, tourism, technology
and so forth that has become increasingly easy. The purpose of this research is to analyze how the
English language ability of a waiter waitress at the hotel.The research method used in this study
is Qualitative-Descriptive Method, where the researcher compared the problems that occured in
the field with the prevailing theories. Based on the results of research, the research found that
the mastery of English of the employees is very important in their world of hospitality, especially
F&B Service. A waiter/es in the hotel must be able to speak foreign languages, especially English.
So, a waiter/es who can master English will be able to upgrade the service of Quality of Square
Restaurant at Novotel hotel Manado to make it more effective.
