Abstract

Abstract : Role of Accommodation Sector as an Effort to Promote Tourism. As a part of
marketing which has a particularly important role, promotion consists of various activities
undertaken by the company whose primary objectives are to inform, persuade, influence
and remind consumers to buy the products. Sangihe Islands Regency is currently developing
tourism objects and attractions but has not yet optimized promotional strategy. The aims of
this study were to determine the role of accommodation sector in promoting tourism objects
and attractions and to identify the factors that affect the promotion of accommodation.The
method used is qualitative research by using observation and interview and interview guide.
The sample in this study is Tahuna hotel, Madina hotel, National hotel and Bintang Utara
hote. The research results show that the local tourism promotion undertaken by the hotel has
not been maximal or is still inadequate. Besides,
