PENGARUH PENGAWASAN ROOM SUPERVISOR TERHADAP KUALITAS KERJA ROOM ATENDANT

Abstract

Abstract: Influences of Supervision by the Room Supervisor on the Room Attendant Work Quality. This research aims to analyze the influence of supervision by room supervisor on the room attendant work quality at Arya Duta Hotel Manado.  The method of research applied in this research is qualitative quantitative method and the data is analyzed using simple linear regrestion analysis,coefficient correlation, determination coefficient and hypothesis testing using wilcoxon -test.  The results of research show that supervision has influence on the work quality of room attendant as proved by the simple linear regression testing obtained from the equation y = 3,6 + 0,76x which means that every 1 score increase of the supervision will result in the staff work quality improvement as much as 0,76 showing that supervision has a strong influence on the room attendant work quality.While the value of determination coefficient is 0,49 meaning that supervision contributes 51% to work quality and the rest is influenced by other factors.  Hyphotesis testing using Wilcoxon test shows that the Z value is 0,311 greater than α 0,05 which means that the alternative Hypothesis (H1) is accepted.  Based on the results of research, it can be concluded that supervision has influence on the room attendant work quality at Arya Duta Hotel Manado and the two variables have a strong relation.  It is advisable that the management maintain supervision of the room attendant.
